This program is the second of two radio shows that feature Alabama Musicians performing seasonal Christmas songs for your enjoyment. Included in the show are recordings from the Large and Amorphous Group of Christmas CDs produced each year by Herb Trottman of Fretted Instruments in Homewood, featuring a wide variety of Alabama musicians and singers. Also included are selections from the instrumental group Act of Congress, the bluegrass band Iron Horse, multi-instrumentalist and arranger Bobbly Horton, Gospel Quartet the Swan Silvertones with Claude Jeter and Birmingham a cappela quartet the Fairfield Four.
This special radio series will air every Tuesday at 9:00 to 9:30 P.M., on the Troy University Public Radio Network at:

This program is a rebroadcast of Joey Brackner interviewing Alabama's curator of historic song - Bobby Horton. Best known for his CDs of Civil War era music and membership in the popular band Three On a String, Mr. Horton also discusses his family's musical heritage and his work composing songs for numerous Ken Burns' documentary films. Bobby Horton was a recipient of a 2005 Governor's Arts Award.
